Would someone be able to assist with a denial we are receiving on G0180? Our patient's initial Home Health Certification was billed with an office place of service by a Family Practice physician who does not go to the hospital. The patient happened to be inpatient at local hospital when our physician did the certification so now Medicare is requesting a refund because the patient was inpatient. I cannot find any information on if there is another way we should be billing this. Patient's Home Health Certification period was from 11/30/2013-1/28/2014 but they were inpatient from 1/11/2014-1/28/2014. The doctor signed the certifcation on 1/24/2014. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
