Hello - what has everyone's experience been with what payers accept G2212. Is it only Medicare or both Medicare Advantage plans?" OR, do Medicare Advantage plans vary?

We have had commercial payers like United Healthcare that wont accept anything but the G2212 code. They don't have the 99417 code in their system.

rcvd a mail and they are discontinuing the hcpc code g2212 and this a managed medicare insurance. what do i use now?

Are you perhaps thinking of G2211?

The 2027 Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule includes some proposed changes for G2211. CMS is proposing to transition to a modifier added to the E/M CPT instead of a separate HCPC.

We'll have to see if that's still in the Final Rule when it is released, and if so what modifier will be assigned.
