I am a loss for a CPT code to use for a procedure done to remove a ganglion on finger done with dermablade. The provider used 11421 but she did not excise it.
I looked at 26160 but she did not make an incision and excise. no sutures. The cyst is removed at the base with the blade.
I looked at 25111 but the cyst is not on the wrist.
I thought a lesion should be coded by the type of lesion, not by method of destruction. But this is a shave, not requiring closure.
Thanks for advice.

My understanding is a cyst can be coded as a benign lesion. I'd code it as a shave removal of a epidermal or dermal lesion (CPT 11305-11308 includes finger/hand)
