Hi. We billed cpt 90651 for a Gardasil 9 vaccine and linked it with V04.89. Insurance denied the vaccine saying that V04.89 does not correspond with this cpt. We have always used this dx code and it is what's in the ICD9 book. I have looked for other information on this and so far it all shows V04.89 is the dx code for cpt 90651. Does anyone have any suggestions or information on a different ICD9 for this vaccine?

that is what we use too....maybe the insurance company needs to update themselves? we haven't had any problems
