Still fighting straggler denials for G9 and Bexsero
in case you are still getting denials, the 90651 code had the fda approval removed in dec 2014 and was approved for billing in Jan 2015 but not updated officially digitally until AMA digital publication July 2015 will be in print 2016 Dowload and send to your payers as proof along with FDA approval letter available on manufacturer website, Most BCBS have officially updated their systems. Here in SC we have a few straggler Medicaid MCOs that are not paying the admin fees due to not recognizing the shot even though they provided it, but they are running scripts to correct the errors.
Also if you are ordering and administering BEXSERO or MENB the same DENIALS are occurring, so download and submit the exact same letter and documentation to have your claims reprocessed.
