Needing help with gastropexy :
Goal of this procedure was to reduce the stomach and pexy it to the abdominal wall to prevent further volvulus. Patient also had a hiatal hernia defect with the entire stomach in the chest. Op note states A hand was placed so that fingers could go through the hiatal defect and grasped the body of the stomach and worked to reduce it. This with some reverse Trendelenburg was able to reduce the stomach. At this point, it was tacked once it was pulled down so the GE junction was straightened and the stomach was tacked once to the anterior abdominal wall with a single 2_0silk suture. At this point the stomach was held in a more anatomical orientation and a pexy was performed along approximately 10 cm was undertaken using a running 2_0 silk suture to the anterior wall of the stomach.
