Any info appreciated about this topic.
On occasion our spine surgeon performs surgery at the local University hospital. The surgeon has been requested to have 5 year resident's assist in surgery for the OR experience. Typically a GC modifier would be appended to the CPT code, however, our surgeon also has a PA-C that assists him in surgery as well.

Because our surgeon is not faculty at the university, is he required to report the GC modifier? No money from any federal program is paid to our surgeon.
 
Can someone help with nurse injections?

Case scenario-if a nurse gives an IM injection the same day the MD does an E&M visit- do I put the nurse's name under the provider (since she did the injection) or do I put the MD name attached to the injection?
