My understanding is the 80050 - is made up of CMP and CBC

or

CBC and TSH

not all three tests.

Therefore you would need to code all three exam separately.

Is this true?

80050

80050 includes 80053, 85025, and 84443. If all three are performed then you would bill a 80050 if one or more is missing then you would bill only what was performed. There are a couple of codes that can be substituted for the 85025 (85027 and 85004 or 85027 and 85007 or 85009).
