When General Surgeon's or any other specialty providers are asked by the ER provider to see a pt in the E/R what CPTs should be reported? Since their status is Outpatient I have been using 99202-99205/ 99212-99215, but can the E/R provider AND specialist report the ER codes ( 99281-99285)?
