I am fairly new at coding so this question may be a simple one but I am stuck.

I have a patient with a ruptured ovarian cyst. The Dr did a diagnostic laparoscopy with evacuation of hemoperitoneum and suture and repair of right ovarian bleeding. He also did and electrofulguration of right ovarian cyst.

I found the code for an incision and drainage of an ovarian cyst, but this was ruptured with bleeding and needing a little more work. I don't see where anything leads me to cleaning up that mess LOL... Please help.

General surgery coding question

I would use code 58662 (laparoscopy, surgical; with fulguration or excision of lesions of the ovary, pelvic viscera, or peritoneal surface by any method) for the procedure described.
