I'm new to coding General surgery stuff so could someone tell me what E&M code I use for general office visit for colonoscopy. Another words they have exam for no other reason then schedule colonscopy some have issues which I bill regular office visit with signs and symptoms but what if there are no signs? Do I bill 9939(?) with a v70.0 general exam

You cannot use the colonoscopy screening code for an office visit. If the patient has already been scheduled for a screening colonoscopy, you cannot charge an E&M or a preventive code since this eval has already been performed and there is no medical necessity to perform it again.
