If a patient has a dual chamber pacemaker and goes in for a battery change. The MD Atrial lead is capped due to chronic A-Fib and then replaces the battery, only connecting it to the ventricular lead: the correct could would be
33227 not 33228, correct, since now only 1 lead is connected?

Yes, I would agree. The patient left the OR with a single system in place.
