Is anyone billing out of their office/facility for these tests which are performed at outside labs. Basically assuming the risk for payment versus letting the lab take that risk.
We are having trouble with the appropriate method of billing these tests--using the molecular path codes (81400-81408) for the number of markers versus the individual codes for the tests performed. I am getting conflicting information as to how this should be done and while I want to maximize our reimbursement I want to make sure all is kosher with how it is being achieved. Thanks.
