Genetics counseling by NP is billed with E/M. Question is can you bill Preventative Visit code in addition to the office visit code. The visit is to discuss all things genetic testing and plan. Example 99205 and 99386. The purpose of the visit is genetics counseling.
Also, what about Lifestyle codes like discussion on obesity during the visit for genetics counseling. Can the time spent counseling on the obesity be reported separately with 994 series?? Any and all advise is appreciated.
