Wiki getting reimbursement for CPT 38726

Out physicians are doing sent. lymph node biopsies. Does medicare pay for CPT 38792 when submitted by the physician? We are seeing a few insurances pay, but no medicare payments.

Yes, CMS is still paying for it, it's still an Active code. Are you sure Dr is injecting the Radioactive Tracer? The Dr can inject the Tracer but it's usually done by a Radiologist. Most of the time the Dr inject the blue dye (Non-radioactive) which isn't billable anymore with 38792. If your Dr is truly injecting the Radioactive tracer I'd check for an LCD that might require certification or something like that to bill CMS for it.
