GI Modifier colonoscopy/flex sig

The doctor completed a Colonoscopy thru a stoma 44389 and then use a flexible sigmoidoscopy 45330 to view the sigmoid/rectal remnant. Would I use a modifier on the flex sig and if so would it be a 51?

Whether you use a modifier or not depends on the payor in this case. Medicare doesn't need the 51 anymore as it automatically does that edit.

But yes, the 51 would be the one you use.
