We have several patients with severe cases of herpes and the provider has determined that treatment twice a week is the best medical course for the patients. I recognize that there is a 10 day global for these procedures. Is there a way to work with the insurance for twice weekly coverage if we have the supporting documentation?

I would take a look at modifier -58 for staged procedure during postop period.
