Please help with coding for the professional components for both the physician & radiologist for the following scenario:
A physician is performing a procedure that includes radiologic guidance & supervision (ex: 50432 nephrostomy cath placement) but the radiologist is over reading the ultrasound & fluoroscopic guidance after the procedure.

In my scenario, the urologist performing the procedure is employed by one group while the radiologist performing the interpretation of the guidance is employed by another. There is no agreement in place to provide compensation to the radiologist for his services. I did find information from CMS stating both physicians should bill using the 52 modifier. Has anyone tried this before?
