We have a patient who is currently in a 90day global period due to having a
vesicovaginal Fistula repaired. She is experiencing continuous leakage and
her provider performed a cysto in the exam room and found patient to have
a recurrent fistula. Patient has Medicare. I'm going back and forth on if
an E&m and/or cysto can be charged. Any opinions would be great!

Thank you
Tori

I would not bill the visit with a -24 modifier because it is the same anatomical location. It is considered a complication from the original repair. Only a return to the OR should be billed.
