Can I code gram negative sepsis (A41.50) if physician documents gram negative bacteremia and also documents sepsis?
 
hi, I am not an expert. I know that bacteremia and sepsis cannot be coded together ( there is exclude 1 under one of these codes). I would code gram negative sepsis only.
