Wiki Group Intensive Billing for Insurance

Hello and Happy New Year!
One of my providers wants to start an intensive group session over two days (12-16 hours) and I was thinking that insurances don't pay this. I would not know how to begin to code this. Any help is appreciated!

Hello and Happy New Year.
1st I would call the patients plan and see if group therapy is covered.
2nd the code to bill is 90853
3rd the reimbursement for OON is not very high. (side note: if it applies, Interactive Complexity-90785 is ok to bill with a 90853.)

90853 is billed once per date of service, and most 90853 sessions are around 60 minutes. You're going to "lose your shirt".
