Our OB patients receive an growth ultrasound in thier third trimester. These patients have no previous findings for a following up. The reports are complete anatomy ultrasounds being done. Would it be appropriate to bill 76805 or would this fall under 76816? The diagnosis is growth. Thank you in advance:)

76805 can be billed after the 1st trimester. If all the elements are documented that support 76805, and there is no previous growth ultrasound, you can bill it. Normally one would be done around 20 wks, with possible follow up later for any potential growth issues.
