Wiki GY modifier

Hi All,

Please guide me about modifier GY when & why it should be appended.
frequently am getting denials for L-codes(orthotics) for DMERC insurace as missing modifier.
I think i can apply GY to that L-codes.

Please share your knowledge & correct me if i am wrong.

Pay attention to: The GY modifier must be used when physicians, practitioners, or suppliers want to indicate that the item or service is statutorily non-covered or is not a Medicare benefit.
