Wiki Had amputation, in for prosthesis referral

Pt is about 2 months status post foot amputation which was stated to have healed well when seen in podiatry clinic. At this general clinic visit, patient presents for check on other issues and is also requesting referral to prosthetics. I'm not sure how to code the amputation...is it still considered a current condition under treatment and thus 896.0 is appropriate? Or would I use a status code, V49.73?
