10120 OR 26070? Patient had a hand grinder injury. Since the op note states that the extensor tendone was inspected, I feel like maybe 26070 would be more appropriate than 10120. 1597080314589.pngAny help is much appreciated.

I was looking at this a couple days ago. Code 26070 requires an arthrotomy, which could have occurred during the trauma. I don't see anything that would clearly indicate that the joint capsule was part of this procedure or closed at the end of the procedure. Per the documentation just the skin was closed. As documented I would lean to 10121.
