Will any of you code a hand written Hospital Consult note? :(

I coded handwritten notes for physicians in an inpatient setting at a teaching hospital for the last 3 years. That is almost all that I coded....admit, subsequent, consult, and discharge notes all handwritten. Admit and discharge notes were often found in the EHR as well, but the transcribed dictation was often different (more or less details) than the handwritten note so we could combine the two if the note was signed. For a handwritten consult note just be sure that you have documentation of the consult request. Good luck with the handwriting, for me that was the hardest part. It's amazing what I can read now!
