Usually for telemedicine in mental health by doctors, is billed with new or established patients codes as appropriate and if there is any add on therapy code, if applied.
So modifiers 95 are used.
Recently I was told that some use ontop of this, use U6 modifier for MD to get better reimbursement. Is it true, can some expert guide me about this asap?
 
I have only encountered the U6 modifier used by some individual states' Medicaid plans, never by Medicare or any Commercial plan. If in fact it applies to your situation, I would start by looking into the guidance on its use from Medicaid for the particular state where your providers are practicing.
