Have the consult codes been deleted for 2010 or not? I have been trying to find a definite answer, but have not been able to yet.

Check other posts ... yes they are going to be designated as "invalid" codes for Medicare billing, and it is expected that other payers will follow suit. The final rule was posted by rebecca in another post.. look under Medicare regulations topic.

The consult codes have not been "deleted". Medicare is not recognizing them, but they are still valid codes for other payers (right now).
