My primary care group is in the process of creating their own ACO and building a dedicated risk adjustment department from the ground up. The administration is looking for input on productivity standards for HCC coders but I'm having difficulty finding specific data for this niche of coding. Does anyone have any information on a standardized average productivity for this type of coding?
 
I think this answer will depend on several factors.

What do you mean by "productivity standards for HCC coders"?
What are your HCC coders doing?

Are they coding encounters?
Are they auditing HCCs?
Are they preparing prospective RAFs?

The answer to your question will depend on what they are doing.
