Hi all,

Someone asked for my input on this, but I don't regularly code time based HCPC services in my day to day work life. Hoping someone here might be more well versed on these codes than I am.

For HCPC codes that have a time unit component, is there a midpoint rule like with CPT?

Example: G0447 is for 15 minutes of obesity counseling. (Or any of the other preventive G codes with 15 minute units.)

Would documentation of 8 minutes or more be sufficient for a unit of G0447? Or would the documentation need to support meeting a minimum threshold of 15 minutes?
