Do you use a code for when a doctor gives out samples of a drug? Also, is there a HCPCS code for a doctor giving a prescription out for Amoxicillin or any prescription for that matter?
 
No there isn't a code to bill for giving out samples or rx. Prescription drug management is counted under MDM in E&M leveling IF it meets E&M reporting guidelines.
