What's the difference between Healthcon and Healthcon Regional

Besides Location, they are quite similar. Generally, HealthCon National draws a larger audience, and there is usually a bigger agenda and more after-conference events. AAPC started offering regionals when it became clear that some individuals were more likely to attend a conference if it was closer to home, so they alternate between regions in the US each year. Next year's regional is in Louisville, KY-- that's a great city with history, food and of course, bourbon! The next three nationals have been announced: Washington DC, San Diego and Chicago. The regionals for 2028-2029 are still unknown (by me, anyway) at this point. AAPC tries to find locations where attendees can also enjoy the host city. There are favorites.... Orlando of course, but in coming years, AAPC is branching out a bit. I'm very excited to see that.
Many of the sessions offered at National are offered again at the regional. Because the regional is smaller, I think it's easier to network. If you've never been to an AAPC conference, do yourself a favor and get to one. It's an amazing opportunity to learn, network and surround yourself with industry experts. It's not at all intimidating--coders are a friendly bunch and I always have a fabulous time.

I’m excited that Healthcon will be coming to Chicago! The only downside for me is that it’s happening after my daughter graduated from her college in Chicago.

Still, Chicago is a city I love and know very well, and it’s only about a four-hour drive for me. I’ll definitely be there!

Since it's late April, there should be opportunity to catch a baseball game for those who would be interested. Good chance either the Cubs or the White Sox will be home, perhaps even both teams.
