When doing right heart caths, my doc states he went into the juglar, and inserted a swan ganz cath - sewed it into place. Then gives me the hemodynamic readings. I explained I need him to document where he went once he inserted the cath and/or sheath. He states he couldn't get his readings if he didn't do the right heart cath. Does anyone have documentation requirements that I can show him??????

Thank you

sounds like a long term swan-ganz placement for hemodynamic monitoring and not a diagnostic study. 93503 fits perfectly as long as nothing else was done
