Hello,

If a patient has a replacement heart valve we code V43.3, If that same patient one year later has a repair done what code do we use?

What is the ICD-9 code for a heart valve repair?

This is a tough one. If the replacement valve is being repaired what about using code 996.71 with the appropriate E codes?
