I am billing for a group of Social Workers, LLP and MD. I am getting paid for the social workers and MD'S. Receiving a rejection from BCBS MI for the LLP stating N290 (missing/incomplete/invalid rendering provider primary identifier). I called BCBS provider enrollment to make sure they were registered with the group and they stated they do not register LLP'S. Does anyone know how I would bill these to get them paid? Thanks for any help...

Some payers do not enroll licensed providers - they have to be certified. Check the provider manual and see what references are available there, or talk to the provider relations (or provider education) department. They may have a better handle on the nuances of contracting over the claims analysts.
