Normal Saline as PreChemo IntraPeritoneal infusion start 1430 finish 1500

Cisplatin as IntraPeritoneal chemo infusion start 1500 finish 1600

Normal saline as PostChemo IntraPeritoneal infusion start 1600 finish 1630

Posthydration IV infusion with Magnesium Sulfate admixture start 1630 finish 1830

This is for Inpatient correct? And are you the facility coder or the physician coder?

This is actually done in the Hospital as an Outpatient. I do both physician and hospital coding.

Ok for the physician you have no codes. And for hospital outpatient these codes should be comming thru the chargemaster. That is the way has always been for every facility I have ever worked in.

I bill out these particular Hospital charges manually.

Ok, Let me do some looking then , but at the cancer center we were told to not bill the hydration unless there is clear documentation of dehydration in the physician notes. I am wondering though with the mag sulfate if this could be billed as therapeutic. I am going to do a little digging and get back to you.
