Hello all,

Dx: Metatarsalgia, rt 2nd
Procedure: 2nd metatarsal osteotomy, right

I have 28308 w/ screw placement then goes on to say

"There was still a slight medial angulation here, therefore, an incision was made at the lateral metatarsalphalangeal jt capsule and the lateral metatarsalphalangeal jt capsule was overlapped and sutured w/ 3-0 Vicryl. This cinched up the capsule laterally and balanced the medial lateral deformity.

Would this also be 28270 or would this bundle in the primary procedure?

I see this time to time and question it...thanks for any help!

I'm not sure you can add 28270 because the description for 28308 is Osteotomy, with or without lengthening, shortening or "angular correction".
