Wiki Help Needed with billing outpatient Operating Room (OR)

Hi Team,

i have a surgeon that will be performing outpatient surgery and i need to know what codes to bill for the (OR).

You can bill for the CPT for the procedure performed but everything else is billed by the facility.

i want the code for the room preparation if there is any, i know we will add the CPT coder for the procedure performed but i am talking about the service itself

Who are you actually billing for? If physician there is nothing else to bill for. Its all bundled intro the CPT code for the surgery. If its an ASC or a Hospital OR, the separate claim comes from to ASC or the Hospital for their portion.

I agree! If you are with The Ordering/Performing Dr. then just use your modifiers 26/25/etc. The Hospital bills the prep.
