We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role requires strong experience in medical billing and coding, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare providers and insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have a background in a medical provider’s office, understand the complexities of medical claims, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer support via phone and email regarding billing, claims, and EDI transactions.
- Assist healthcare providers with billing and coding inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and explaining claim submissions.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies and medical professionals to resolve billing disputes and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and resolutions in the company’s support system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of customer concerns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, insurance policies, and regulatory changes related to medical billing and coding.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding within a medical provider’s office.
- Previous experience communicating with insurance companies and/or doctors regarding claims and reimbursements.
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must provide three professional work references.
- Must pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with EDI claims processing.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
