I had posted a ques. last week thought I had it figured out but so confused
In reference to procedure codes 63663 & 63664
Our Physician had removed a previously placed spinal neurostimulator which we did not initially implant he then implanted a new generator and used the existing lead but did a revision of that lead.
My question is do you have to know how the initial implant was done via percutaneous or a laminectomy? to use codes 63663 or 63664?
Or are the codes chosen via the approach the physician is using now to do the revision?
I really would appreciate the help.
