I have a patient that had a laporoscopic band placed that underwent a hepaticojejunostomy for pancreatic cancer. The physician removed the band to decrease the risk of infection during treatment as well as allowing her to eat whatever since she will most likely lose weight. Is ICD-9 code V58.42 applicable in this case or does anyone have any better suggestions. Thanks!!!!
