Physician documents 995.1 and 995.3. Is it appropriate to code 995.1 with 995.3 or should 995.1 only be coded for specificity?

Personally, I wouldn't use the 995.3 since the doctor is telling you 995.1-you are correct to code the more specific code. Hope this helps!
