Doctor performed:
Subtalar joint arthoroereisis on the left.
Dx: Acquired Flexible Flatfoot and Equinus Left Lower Extremity.

It is usually coded as a 29999. Just can't seem to pinpoint a better code.

0335T Extra-osseous subtalar joint implant for talotarsal stabilization

The following codes may also be used to report the procedure:

28725 Arthrodesis* subtalar.

28899 Unlisted procedure, foot or toes

The HCPCS code is:

S2117 Arthroereisis, subtalar

Note: This policy only applies to subtalar arthroereisis (joint implant) surgery, a corrective operation for the diagnosis of flat feet.

* Arthrodesis describes joint fusion. Subtalar arthrodesis (joint fusion) surgery is not addressed in this policy.
