Diagnosis: Patial Tear, medial conjoined tendon medial epicondylitis and tendinopathy of lateral
conjoined tendon, right elbow; Subluxation of ulnar nerve of elbow

Procedure: Debridement and repair of medial conjoined tendon of elbow; Decompression of
Ulnar Nerve; PRP Injections of medial and lateral conjoined tendons.

I billed CPT 24341
CPT 64718
We do not bill for the PRP injections done at the Hospital [0232T]

CPT 24341 paid.
CPT 64718 was denied. Should I appeal?
Ulnar nerve was subluxing anteriorly and seated right over medial epicondyle. It was not in its tunnel, so the ulnar nerve was dissected out, was decompressed proximally and then distally.
Nerve still subluxed even after tendon was repaired, but was seated in a much better position at this point.

Hope this enough to go on for some input.

Thanks,
Carol

Unless that decompression was performed on the contralateral elbow (LT vs RT), it's inclusive to the primary procedure 24341. It shouldn't have been billed in the first place if that is the case, I would not appeal. PRP injections wouldn't be billable in the same are either, just an FYI.
