Could someone please advise me on this one. This is a re-excision. Not sure when the 1st procedure was done. It had to be more than a year ago. Op not reads: The probable recurrence of the MFH was located along the medial aspect of
the elliptical skin incision and involved a portion of the skin graft. I
donated an ellipse which incorporated close margins and included a portion
of the skin graft that measured about 5 x 3 cm. Again, the area was
infiltrated, and the area was taken with a knife and electrocautery and
removed. It was oriented and sent to pathology for permanent evaluation.
The scalp was mobilized by raising flaps up medially and laterally,
including a portion of the underlying split thickness skin graft and then
brought together with interrupted #3-0 PDS and staples.
