Physician excised a subcutaneous mass right posterior neck 1.5 cm. Excised carried down through the subcutaneous tissue. Path report states it is a metastic adenocarcinoma. I was thinking using cpt 21555 with dx 173.40 but not 100% sure???? Help...new coder.:confused:

173.40 is for skin, this is subq with mets so i would use 198.89 and 199.1 for primary site unknown.
