I need help. would you code an excision of a mass with its root eliminating from the ulnar aspect of the DIP Joint 1cm as a 26116.

Do you have access to the lab reports for official diagnosis? If this is a ganglion of the finger dip joint, I would go with 26160. Other types of tumors, lesions and malformations often get coded based on where they originate from.
