A new pediatric patient was in with mother with history of SUSPECTED physical abuse. I am having trouble finding the appropriate icd-10 code for this. I have only found code for history of abuse but not suspected. Does such code exist?

any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, there are separate codes for this - you'll find these in the T76- category - Adult and child abuse, neglect and other maltreatment, suspected - in the Tabular list, or you can look the up in the alphabetic index under 'Maltreatment'. These codes have a 7th digit for subsequent encounter or sequela, so if the suspected abuse is part of the history that is relevant to the condition(s) being evaluated or treated at the encounter, you would use the appropriate 7th digit D or S as appropriate to indicate this.
