Pt was seen for patella sprain, physician listed as avulsion patella fracture.

Any suggestions on diagnosis code? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
 
An avulsion fx occurs when a tendon is torn of its attachment to the bone and takes a fragment of bone with it, The symptoms often mimic a sprain but after examination it is deemed to be a fx so code as a fx 822.
