I work for a Third party Biller and we have a case that the patient was admitted on the 26th of the month for induction but did not actually give birth until the 28th of the month. She was allowed the 96 hour rule after the baby was born for the C/S. But my question that I can't seem to locate is, Does the 26th and 27th also need an auth for the induction since she is was inpatient? There is no charges for OBS or ER on the bill. Does anyone know where I can find this information?
